Cargolux airlines International has announced it has passed its third International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) renewal audit with a score of zero findings.
Cargolux went through the initial audit during Oct 2007.The IOSA programme is an internationally recognised and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline. As a member of IATA has to pass an initial IOSA audit and subsequent renewal audits every two years, this ensures a constant enhancement of aviation safety and is recognised by insurers and a number of aviation authorities."We achieved this fantastic result due to the great efforts and endless commitment that the Cargolux staff has put into this IOSA renewal audit. They all gave their all," says Cargolux vice president and head of quality assurance, Graham Hurst.During the five-day renewal audit, from 3 to 7 June, five auditors audited Cargolux on about 850 different standards. In preparation for this, Cargolux had a team of over 20 people from all of the airline's relevant divisions work together to achieve the audit result.
